Firm Hierarchy

Venture VX has 4 managerial levels according to the following hierarchy:

• Partners (Reptilian)

A Partner is the highest ranked member in the firm.

They are the firm founders, owners and legal partners. As a partner you will be the one who can sponsor a deal, suggest future investments, mergers, takeovers, fire people... you name it!

• Principals (VP Howard)

Principals are members of the investment team.

In addition to helping the firm discover and meet the industry’s most promising entrepreneurs, they also work very closely with the companies after they invest in them.

• Seniors (Senior Hank)

Seniors are the managers of Junior teams.

Seniors do not lead investments themselves, but are typically visible at events, board meetings and workshops. Your job requirements are usually external facing, and involve meeting with large volume of companies, providing a first filter and bringing the more relevant cases to the attention of the principals and partners.

• Juniors (Junior Joe)

Junior is the starting position at VVX.

Juniors usually have 2-3 years of previous work experience, most typically in banking, consulting or at a startup. They are usually the ones who initiate the connection with new businesses in order to check for potential investments.
